Middle school took a trip to the Drake Well Museum last Thursday. Students split into groups with a tour guide. They were able to explore the hands-on museum and walk to the various outdoor exhibits. After learning about the history of the oil industry and this historic sight, everyone enjoyed lunch at the picnic ground. There was perfect weather to race, play tag, roll down the hill, and catch and release salamanders. #MTA 🛢

To close out their Pythagorean Theorem unit, eighth grade created Spiral Projects. Students created right triangles with a side leg length of one inch and used the previous hypotenuse as the second leg length of the proceeding triangle. After measuring and calculating the legs and hypotenuse of all their triangles, students created an art design to add to this math assignment. #MTA #MathFun 🔺

Today, Ms. Nolan’s middle school math classroom was glowing for a day full of fun NWEA MAP testing preparation! To get ready for next week’s MAP testing, students rotated between the stations answering a variety of math questions while simultaneously playing a game. The games included Tic-Tac-Toe, Connect4, Jenga, and mystery cups. To make the review games even more fun, the room was blacked-out and covered with neon and glowing materials with black lights. The students were engaged and had lots of fun reviewing! #MTA #MathFun 🔆🔢
