• STATE CHAMPS! Congratulations to James Casella and Gavin Ferretti. They took the PIAA AA Doubles championship today with their 6-2, 6-1, victory over Masterman’s Chris Ji and Levi Santa. They began the tournament with a straight set victory over Moravian Academy’s Ford Koch and Aveer Chadha. They would win their second round match over the tandem from Lancaster Country Day in three sets. They’d take their semifinal match over the team from Lewisburg in straight sets before cruising to a gold medal. Their victory is the sixth boys doubles state championship in Cathedral Prep history. Jonah Ng also competed in the PIAA AA Singles championship this weekend. He won his opening round match over Saucon Valley’s Deven Pandey in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1. He would fall in his second-round match to Lancaster Country Day’s Michael Georgelis in straight sets, 7-5, 6-1. Congratulations to all! 🎾🥇🏆
• For the tenth year in a row, baseball claimed the D-10 title! They defeated Meadville in the AAAA title game, 14-0, in five innings. Jason Fultz went the distance, striking out 10 in the shutout. He also drove in two. Andrew Costello had two hits and four RBIs. Nick Jackson and Dan Oblich each had a pair of hits and scored three runs. Justice Laird also had a two-run pinch hit. Congratulations to Coach Constable and the team! ⚾🏆
• Make it a three-peat! Congratulations to the softball team on capturing their third straight D-10 title, and fifth overall, with a 9-5 win over Hickory! Paige Simmerman had three hits and drove in six. Addison Baldi and Sophia Primavere each had a pair of hits and an RBI. Madison Simmerman went the distance in the circle to get the win. Congratulations to Coach Baldi and the Ramblers! 🥎🏆
• Track & Field competed in the PIAA AAA championship at Shippensburg University. Congratulations Lauren Raimy. She ran a 4:57.43 to place 11th overall in the 1600m. Her time broke the school record set by Claire Brown ’16VMA in 2016. Anne-Catherine Brown finished 15th in the 3200m. Kendal Johnston took 16th in the high jump. The 4x800m relay of Raimy, Brown, Allison Bender, and Fina Bannister took 12th. The 4x400m relay of Kayla Bogdanski, Reagan Johnston, Raimy, and Bannister placed 28th. 👟
• Girls lacrosse fell to Fairview in the District 10 semifinals, 16-14. 🥍

• Softball bested Conneaut in their District 10 semifinal matchup, 8-1. Madison Simmerman gave up just two hits and struck out 11 in the circle to get the win. Addison Baldi drove in three, while Sophia Primavere had a pair of hits and had two RBIs. Emily Dudenhoeffer had two hits. Mya Kaliszewski also drove in a run. The Ramblers take on Hickory on Monday at a site and time to be announced. 🥎

• Boys lacrosse advanced to the District 10 championship game with their 10-3 semifinal victory over Hickory. Nate Klan scored five goals and had three assists. Rylan Sorge scored a hat trick and had four assists. Charlie McBrier and Jameson Hertel also scored. Tanner Balls made 13 saves in goal. The Ramblers play Meadville next Wednesday, May 29, at 7:00 p.m. at Fairview High School. 🥍

The senior class activities continued for the Class of 2024 yesterday with a full slate of activity. First, our seniors traveled to Peek'n Peak Resort for their Senior Retreat! They took on the adventure course, played miniature golf, had Mass, and enjoyed various activities with their brothers and sisters. They closed the day with their Senior Banquet!
