Kindergarten put on their ABC Bootcamp Fashion Show for their families earlier this month! Our little Saints each wore outfits that represented a letter of the alphabet. Their outfits also had caricatures of things that started with that letter. They got to show off their outfit and dance moves down a down the star-studded runway! #MTA #ABCBootcamp #FashionShow 🔠🌟

Second grade talked ALL about the color wheel in Art today! Students reviewed the order of the colors, which colors are primary and secondary, and could even tell Miss. Nordlund how they are mixed from their pervious classes. They talked about how color surrounds us in our classrooms, homes and communities and how it can influence us. After that AMAZING discussion, Miss. Nordlund set the students to the task of searching the art room for objects that we could put into their own Visual Color Wheel. Each table was assigned their own color and had to retrieve the objects and place them into the correct place on the classroom color wheel. They did this so well, and then they even put everything back to where it belonged in the classroom! Good work young artists, and good job taking care of your art classroom and materials! #MTA #CreateAnyway 🎨

Last Friday, we had a blast with our big brothers and sisters from Cathedral Preparatory School at Fall Fest! We played games, did crafts and trick-or-treated! We would like to send a very special thank you to for bringing Fall Fest to our campus again this year. We had an absolute blast with everyone! Stay tuned later today for our Halloween celebration! #MTA #FallFest 👻🎃🦇

The MTA Garden Club was busy this morning cutting bushes and preparing the school’s front entrance for winter. Great work, everyone! #MTA #Gardening 🌳

Fifth grade was busy in Science class last week seeing what owls eat. Students found various skulls and other bones from many different animals in their owl pellets. #MTA #Science 🦉

First grade had some fun exploring the pumpkins they received from Port Farms. First, they described and measured their pumpkins. Next, they made a hypothesis on if they thought the pumpkin would sink or float in water. These theories were tested with the pumpkins and other objects in the room. To wrap it up, they painted their pumpkins! #MTA #FallFun 🍂🎃🖌

Our elementary school students enjoy some fun-filled days at Port Farms! They were able to explore the farm on an awesome hayride and pick their own pumpkin right off the vine! Then they got to enjoy being kids playing on the “Jumpkin Patch” and giants slides/tires! #MTA #FallFun

It was harvesting day at our garden on Friday, October 21! Students picked various vegetables that that they have watched grow this season. They also prepared the garden boxes for the winter months ahead. #MTA #Science #Gardening

Our eighth graders have been doing some amazing work in Art! On October 20, to take a break from our projects, Miss. Nordlund brought in some gourds and we drew them from observation! They blew it out of the park and created some very nice charcoal drawings. Miss. Nordlund is so proud of their hard work and willingness to try something different! Great work young artists! #MTA #CreateAnyway

Seventh grade was working in the STEAM lab. They were tasked with building and designing their own arcade-style claw machine. #MTA #STEAM

Kindergarten and first grade took a trip to the Erie Fire Department on October 18! The students saw the gear the firefighters wear, the tools they use on calls, and they got to sit in the fire truck. The firefighters had to go to a call, so they waved goodbye and headed back to school to make thank you cards and enjoy the gifts they gave them. #MTA #FieldTrip

Third grade was working on building arrays to show the process of multiplication and division in math class! The post-it notes were cookie sheets, and they used cookie shaped cereal for the cookies. It’s always more fun to add food to learning a critical math skill! #MTA #MathFun

Supervowel O visited Kindergarten on October 13!! He came in and told them how he hated the doctor because of the stick they put in your mouth. His advice: make sure it doesn't touch your tongue and say "ahh." He let them know of his super power, which is saying his name! They also practiced how to be ostriches, too, by running the hallways with no wings! It was another fun day #MTA #ABCBootcamp
