• Girls basketball split their doubleheader with North Tonawanda (NY). Varsity fell to the Lumberjacks, 53-49. Leah Nies led the Ramblers with 13 points. Natalie Spano scored 11 points, while Seana Thrower scored eight points. JV won their matchup, 75-13. Allie Adams scored 16 points. Emma Hertel scored 11. Nico Camillo and Awut Mangok each scored 10 points. Gionna Wayne chipped in eight points. 🏀
• Boys freshman basketball lost to Mercyhurst Prep, 45-37. Marquis Leggett scored 10 points. Cartier Shaw and Lochlan Snider-Mills each scored eight points. 🏀

• Boys basketball swept Meadville. Varsity bounced back into the win column with a 102-65 victory over the Bulldogs. Michael Thompson had 26 points to lead the way. Ahmari Horton had 24 points. Ashton Wilbur scored 22 points, while Nando Mirarchi had 11 points. JV won their matchup, 73-26. Ben Dougherty led the Ramblers with 22 points. Demario Smith had 19 points. Eli Elwell and Karson Biel each had nine points. 🏀
• Girls varsity basketball defeated Fairview, 45-28. Natalie Spano scored 12 points, while Seana Thrower finished with nine points. Leah Nies scored eight points. 🏀
• Varsity hockey finished 1-2-1 at the Meadville Tournament over the weekend. They opened with a 1-1 tie against St. Ignatius (OH). Vinny Scalise scored the lone goal. Matei Moga made 15 saves in net. They would then fall to Gilmour Academy (OH), 9-1. Hyatt Hetz had the goal off an assist by Rory Callaghan. Moga had 50 saves in goal. They would lose their third game to Shaker Heights (OH), 5-3. Chris Bruschi, Garrett Schwartz, and Brady Sack scored. Scalise, Bruschi, and Dylan Grahameach had an assist. Moga made 11 saves. They closed the tournament with a 3-0 win over St. Ignatius (OH). Hetz had a hat trick. Schwartz had an assist. Moga secured the shutout with eight saves in net. 🏒
• Girls swimming & diving beat Erie High, 127-24. Haylie Montgomery won four events. Kara Sanders, Brianne Ryan and Jaslene Cage were triple winners. Kendal Johnston, Aubrey Bender, and Grace McCormick each won a pair of events. 🏊♀️
• Boys swimming & diving were also victorious over Erie High, 148-25. Adam Clark won four events. Thomas Fortin won three events, while Jack Raimy, Grant Dudenhoeffer, Andrew Dutchcot, and Ben Camera each won two events. Ed Terrizzi won the diving competition. 🏊♂️

• Wrestling snared a 53-24 win over Northwestern. Davion Edmond (127), Sawyer King (133), Colin Lucas (160), Sam Harrington (172), and Max Spaulding (285) earned pins for the Ramblers. Bode Terry (215) won by technical fall. 🤼
• Boys basketball swept their matchups at the Joann Mullen Gymnasium. JV rallied to defeat Harbor Creek, 59-47. Matt Nedreski led the way with 24 points. Karson Biel finished with 16 points, while Demario Smith chipped in nine points. Freshman picked up a 50-15 win over Oil City. Marquis Leggett had 14 points, while Cartier Shaw and Lochlan Snider-Mills each had seven points. 🏀
This past weekend, five of our Show Choir students were at Allegheny College for the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) District 2 Chorus Festival along with 180 other students from every high school in Northwest Pennsylvania. After preparing music since November and completing a competitive audition, all five placed well in their sections. Alivia Bean ’26 placed 11th chair Alto 1. Theresa Ferraro ’27 placed fifth chair Soprano 1, while Bella Speros ’26 placed fifth chair Soprano 2. Christian Mungarurire ’27 placed third chair Tenor 2. Lincoln Laquidara ’27 placed second chair Bass 1. They rehearsed a challenging set of music and performed at the conclusion of the festival, under the direction of Dr. James Niblock of Allegheny College. Theresa and Lincoln also auditioned to perform concert solos at the festival and advanced. They performed for all of the students and music directors participating at the festival. Special congratulations to Theresa, Bella, Christian, and Lincoln who are advancing to the PMEA Region 2 Chorus Festival. • Girls basketball swept Fort LeBoeuf. Varsity defeated the Bison, 59-22. Seana Thrower led the team with 19 points, including three three-pointers. Leah Nies scored 12 points and had 10 rebounds, while Mia Washburn had nine points. JV won their matchup, 50-27. Anna Johnson had 13. Alyssa VanDamia and Allie Adams each had 11. 🏀
• Boys varsity basketball hosted the Burger King Classic. The Ramblers won their opener over Thurgood Marshall Academy (NY), Nando Mirarchi led the way with 26 points. Ahmari Horton had 25 points. Michael Thompson scored 23, while Ashton Wilbur had 14. They suffered their first loss of the season in the championship game against Neumann-Goretti, 107-91. Thompson finished with 27 points. Mirarchi scored 21 points. 🏀
• Girls swimming & diving competed in the North East Invitational. The medley relay of Kara Sanders, Jaslene Cage, Aubrey Bender, and Kendal Johnston took first. Cage won the 200 IM, while Brianne Ryan finished third. Johnston won the 50 and 100 free. The 200 free relay of Johnston, Haylie Montgomery, Cage, and Bender took first. Sanders finished third in the 100 backstroke, while Cage took second in the 100 breastroke. 🏊♀️
• Wrestling took eighth at the Mid-Winter Mayhem tournament at IUP’s Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex. Sam Harrington (172) and Omar Arrington (215) finished fourth in their respective classes. Kamdyn Borrero (145) took fifth, while Max Spaulding (285) finished sixth. 🤼
• Indoor Track competed in their first TSTCA meet at Edinboro. Will English was the lone top six finisher, finishing fourth in the 400m. 👟

• Boys swimming & diving also defeated Warren, 137-34. Andrew Dutchcot, Jackman Callaway, Adam Clark, and Jack Raimy all won three events each. Thomas Fortin won a pair of events. 🏊♂️
• Indoor Track had several top six finishers at their NEOITC Green division meet at Spire Institute. For the boys, Gavin Easter placed fourth in the long jump and sixth in the 200m. Will English took first place in the 800m. He also led off the boys 4x400m relay which finished fifth. Jeremai Pruzenski, Quinn Orlando, and Sam English joined him on the relay. For the girls, Anne-Catherine Brown finished first in the 1600m. Zita Schiedel was right behind in second, while Sophie Becker finished fourth. Reagan Johnston finished sixth in the 400m. Makayla Stutts won the 800m. Brown took third, while Becker was in fifth. The girls 4x400m relay of Stutts, Brown, Becker, and Johnston placed third. 👟
• Varsity hockey fell to Hempfield, 6-0. Matei Moga made 32 saves in goal. 🏒

He also became the 15th player in program history to eclipse 1,000 career points. Ahmari Horton chipped in 17 points. JV began the night with a 47-46 victory. • Girls varsity basketball participated in the Garden State New Year’s Ball in New Jersey over the weekend. They won their opener over Stony Brook School (NY), 61-37. Natalie Spano knocked down five three-pointers and had 19 points. Mia Washburn finished with nine points, while Seana Thrower and Leah Nies each had seven. They would beat The Hun School (NJ), 50-41, to close out play. Thrower had 15 points to lead the offense. Nies and Spano each had nine points. Washburn added eight points. 🏀
• Wrestling captured the Pin City Tournament title at Perry (OH). Mario Panighetti (138), Kamdyn Borrero (144), Gabe Dorman (157), Bode Terry (190), and Omar Arrington (215) won their classes. Sam Harrington (175) and Max Spaulding (285) finished second. Mason Gregor (120), Davion Edmond (126), and Luke Benedict (150) took third. Corey Kowalski (175), Montrell Stonewall (190), and Deangelo Nolen (285) took sixth, while Sawyer King (132) finished seventh. 🤼
• Boys basketball finished 2-1 on the weekend. For the first time in program history, varsity began the season 13-0. They bested Canisius (NY), 91-74. Nando Mirarchi paced the way with 28 points. Ahmari Horton had 20 points. Ashton Wilbur finished with 17, while Michael Thompson chipped in 14. JV lost their matchup against the Crusaders, 63-60. Ben Dougherty had 17 points.
