Cathedral Prep Math teacher Mrs. Kia Howell received a great surprise last week when a news crew showed up to her classroom to present her with the Golden Apple Award. Amora Taylor ’27 nominated Mrs. Howell for the award, which is sponsored by JET/FOX/YourErie, PennWest University, and Big Ideas Learning. The Golden Apple Award honors area educators who have made a positive impact upon the youth of our community.
