On Thursday, September 17, the Cathedral Prep Advancement Team had the pleasure of hosting our annual President’s Leadership Council Reception, celebrating some of our school’s most dedicated and generous supporters.
Our student speakers, Leighton Leeds ’27 and Kate Peterson ’27, shared their personal stories and reflected on the profound impact Cathedral Prep has had on their lives. Their remarks offered a meaningful glimpse into how their experiences at Prep have shaped them as students and as individuals, while preparing them for success beyond the walls of our school.
We were also honored to welcome Judge Ernie DiSantis ’66, who shared the story of the JEM Foundation, a fund established by James Mantyla ’65. Judge DiSantis spoke about Mr. Mantyla’s legacy of generosity and the purpose and inspiration behind his giving, a meaningful reminder of the lasting impact one person can make through a commitment to others.
Interim President Jason Ladouceur closed the evening by announcing this year’s President’s Hall of Fame honorees: Christine Fuhrman Konzel ’73VMA, Bob Achille ’75, and the Kloecker Family. We look forward to celebrating their remarkable contributions to the Cathedral Prep community at the 2027 Legacy Gala on March 13 at the Bayfront Convention Center. This year’s theme, Walk by Faith. Lead with Courage., reflects the spirit of these honorees and the values that continue to guide our Prep community.
