Fr. Ben and host Jimmy Smith ’11 discuss what courage means to us as Christians and how our faith in Jesus Christ gives us strength in the different challenges we encounter throughout our lives. The conversation centers around three powerful moments in the Gospels when Jesus tells us to “take courage:”
#1- “Take courage, son; your sins are forgiven.” — Matthew 9:2
#2- “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.” — Matthew 14:27
#3- “In the world you will have trouble, but take courage, I have conquered the world.” — John 16:33
From finding courage through Christ’s forgiveness to trusting Him in moments of fear and remaining faithful through the troubles of this world, Fr. Ben offers a meaningful perspective on what it truly means to live courageously as a follower of Jesus.
