We’re thrilled to introduce you to the newest member of our academic team here at Cathedral Prep, Mr. James Duke. A proud native of Cleveland, Ohio, Mr. Duke will be our new Assistant Principal. He brings a wealth of experience in educational leadership, having successfully served the roles of dean of students and assistant principal at four different schools in northeast Ohio over the past nine years.
Mr. Duke attended Catholic grade school and high school and developed a deep commitment to fostering a supportive and enriching environment for students in his roles as an administrator, coach, and teacher. He began his career in education as a teacher and high school football coach, where he discovered his passion for guiding and mentoring young people along with focusing on school formation and culture.
“I’d first like to thank President Kevin Smith, Vice President of Academics and Student Affairs Jason Ladouceur, and Principal Veronica Seip for giving me the opportunity to join their team as part of such a storied academic institution,” Mr. Duke said. “I have been very impressed with the pride taken in every detail of running Cathedral Prep to give our students the very best high school experience possible. I’m honored to be working alongside our incredible staff and students supporting them to all live out our Core Values of faith, excellence, integrity, respect, and service this school year.
