Cafeteria

**Beginning on February 9th and for the remainder of this school year, we have worked with our food service provider, AVI, to be able to offer free lunches to all students who are in the building. Students will still have to pre-order their boxed lunches the week before, and lunches will consist of an entrée, a side, and milk. A la carte items like chips, ice cream, and other drinks will continue to be available for purchase. This arrangement will only be in place for the remainder of this school year, as we plan to be back to normal with a full menu at the start of next year. Funds remaining on meal cards at the end of this school year will be applied to the next school year or refunded for those who are graduating.**

We are happy to announce that we’ve entered into a new partnership for our food service operations with AVI Foodsystems for the 2020-2021 school year! AVI is a family-owned food service company, based in Warren Ohio. They’ve been serving schools for over 22 years and currently provide dining services for over 65 schools in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Indiana, and Michigan, including 8 all-girls schools and 6 all-boys schools. Some familiar names are Magnificat and St. Ed’s in Cleveland, Seton and St. Xavier in Cincinnati, and North Catholic and Oakland Catholic in Pittsburgh.

We’re excited about the experience, skill, and energy that AVI will bring to Prep, Villa, and the Events Center. Nick Marcarelli, District Manager, and Adam Hale, Chef Director, are already on-site cleaning and setting up the cafeterias for next school year.

AVI is also working with the Mission Leadership Team to make sure we’re prepared to provide food service to our students, faculty, and staff following all appropriate COVID-19 safety protocols. These plans are constantly evolving and you can expect to learn more about them, and more about the dining experience as a whole, in the near future.
