Academics

The mission statement of Cathedral Preparatory School  states that we, “develop men and women of vision in spirit, mind, and body.” The administration and faculty of Cathedral Prep maintains a college preparatory curriculum that challenges students of different abilities and interests through required and elective courses. The goal is to provide an academic and formational curriculum that prepares students not only for college, but also for life.

Cathedral Prep recognizes that our educators are responsible for the intellectual, spiritual, emotional, physical, and social growth of each young woman and young man. Our teachers cultivate the full development of our students by ensuring that each student realizes their own distinctive gifts and limitations. Teachers utilize traditional as well as modern methods of instruction, which capitalize on the wealth of technology available at Cathedral Prep to create the highest quality classroom experience. Common learning experiences include lecture, research, problem solving, cooperative learning, and critical thinking activities, which cultivate a vibrant community of life-long learners.

We believe that all our students have a right to grow intellectually, spiritually, emotionally, physically, and socially in a safe, nurturing, and enjoyable environment. Cathedral Prep is where you will find that atmosphere. Our private Catholic school is proud to serve the Meadville, Titusville & Erie, PA communities.
