"Called To Lead": The Campaign for Cathedral Preparatory School, Villa Maria Academy, and Mother Teresa Academy
October 25, 2019
Last evening, October 24th, 2019, history was made in the Hilbert Family Library Commons on the Cathedral Prep campus. It was there that almost 200 members of the President’s Leadership Council witnessed an amazing moment in the illustrious history of our collective mission. Today, we share that moment with you and the rest of the world. Fr. Scott Jabo, President, announced the public launch of a “Called to Lead: The Campaign for Cathedral Prep/Villa Maria Academy/Mother Teresa Academy, a $48,500,000 initiative that will serve as a transformative springboard as we take the school we love so much boldly into the future. The “amazing” part you ask? Fr. Jabo also announced that as of yesterday, we have received an astounding $33,000,000 in cash and commitments! The school hired capital campaign consultant, Chris Hagerty from Partners in Mission, who has spent the last year working behind the scenes with the advancement staff before the launch last evening.
Although this already represents the most successful philanthropic endeavor ever for Prep, Villa, and MTA, we will still need the support of many to reach this most ambitious goal. In part of his remarks, Fr. Jabo shared “‘Called To Lead’ supports our mission to transform our students into the visionary leaders of tomorrow. I pray that the leadership that our donors show through their generosity will likewise inspire others to help further our mission. May God bless our donors for making a difference in our students’ lives!” Mike ’75 & Tina Donikowski ’77 believe “Called to Lead” is a vision in which everyone can participate. “We were fortunate to attend Prep & Villa and to give our sons the benefit of Catholic education. We believe in Catholic education and want every child, no matter their ability to pay, to have that same benefit. Prep, Villa, and MTA change lives … that’s what this campaign is all about."
We ask that you keep our mission and the success of a “Called to Lead”: The Campaign for Cathedral Prep/Villa Maria Academy/Mother Teresa Academy in your daily prayers. For more in information, please click the link below to view our Case Statement.
