The Class of 2020 officially became upperclassmen at the cherished ring ceremony that took place on November 15, 2018. It was a wonderful moment for our juniors as they took the opportunity to reflect on how much they have already accomplished as a class at Villa Maria Academy and became excited about the bright future ahead for them for their remaining time at Villa and beyond.
The ceremony began with each member of the junior class carrying their individual candle into the auditorium and placing it into a large candelabra to signify their oneness as a class. Assistant Vice President Veronica Connaroe led the student body in an opening prayer followed by a slideshow featuring photos of many of the moments that have forged a strong sisterhood bond for the Class of 2020.
The ceremony continued with faculty members Mrs. Lisa Chimenti-Foster and Mr. Lance Strasser distributing the rings to the girls. President Fr. Scott Jabo then blessed the Class of 2020 and their rings! Following the ceremony, a lovely reception was held in the cafeteria for the juniors and their families.
VMA class rings are symbol of the never-ending sisterhood and connection they will have with each other for a lifetime!
