Prep and Villa Athletes Sign on Early Signing Day


The early portion of signing day for the NCAA has brought with it some collegiate commitments of student-athletes from Cathedral Prep and Villa Maria. Below is a small capsule of the student-athletes who are signing today:

Cathedral Prep

Gabe Rager—Lacrosse—Davis & Elkins College: a 3-year varsity starter, he has helped the Ramblers win a pair of D-10 titles. He will play defense at the Division II level next season.

Rockne Seidel—Baseball—Canisius College: a key performer on the mound and in the field for the Ramblers. He hit .407 for the Ramblers last season while leading the team with 25 RBI's. He had a 2.30 ERA on the hill while striking out 28 in 21 innings.

Carter Starocci—Wrestling—Penn State University: Prep's first state titlist in 22 years, he won gold at 160 pounds last season. Has medaled in all three state appearances, finishing second as a sophomore. Carter will join the national champion Nittany Lions on scholarship.

Villa Maria

Addisyn Cross—Basketball—Holy Cross: a 3-year varsity starter, she has helped the Victors finish second in the state twice and 5th last season. Averaged 9 points and 6 assists as a junior. Earned a full D-I scholarship at the same school as former teammate Madison Demski. She will join a list of nine Villa graduates currently playing college basketball on scholarship.
