This is Joe Bell’s third year as varsity bowling coach. A lifelong bowler, he got his start in the sport growing up behind Frontier Lanes. Joe started his coaching career at Villa in 2005 as the assistant coach for the boys varsity soccer team. After four years coaching soccer, Joe was appointed advisor of the Prep/Villa bowling club.
Joe is a graduate of the Villa class of 2000. In high school, Joe was a double letterman in baseball and soccer. After graduating from Gannon University in 2004, Joe began teaching Theology at Villa where he continues to teach today. A passionate sports fan, Joe is currently the advisor of Villa’s legendary Pep Club.
In addition to teaching and coaching, Joe has taught as an adjunct lecturer at Mercyhurst University for 11 years. He and his wife Christina have 3 children; Tamara (Prep class of 2026), Sam (Prep class of 2030), and Cici (Prep class of 2033).
