Cathedral Preparatory School offers merit-based scholarship opportunities for qualifying members of each incoming freshman class. There are four merit-based scholarship opportunities each year, the Entrance Exam Scholarship, the Essay Scholarship, Art, and MVP Scholarship.

The Entrance Exam Scholarship is awarded to the ten students who receive the ten highest scores on the first exam date. The students who receive the five highest scores will each receive a $1,000 renewable tuition scholarship for a total of $4,000 over their four years at Cathedral Prep. The students who receive the next five highest scores (6 – 10) will each receive a $500 renewable tuition scholarship for a total of $2,000 over their four years at Cathedral Prep.
In addition, all accepted students are eligible to apply for the merit-based Essay Scholarships. There are three different essays that can be submitted, an English essay, a Catholic identity essay, and an alumni essay. Each essay will be judged according to content, creativity, and grammar/spelling. Students are encouraged to apply for all three scholarships. Each year Cathedral Preparatory School offers all incoming freshmen an opportunity to apply for one of our Art Scholarships and MVP Scholarships (instrumental, vocal, and drama). The Christopher Mark Knoll Scholarship is a one-time scholarship in the amount of $1,000 applied to the 9th grade tuition of one incoming freshman at Cathedral Prep matriculating from a Catholic grade school. Applicants must have a financial need and have a minimum of a B+ average in all their courses.
